Surviving airplane food

I exactly one week from now, I will be traveling to India. The fun thing in this is that Element Crossfit has started a real food challenge for the next five weeks... and I joined in. The challenge calls for all participants to eat real food, as in, no processed food, no sugar and high quality dairy for six weeks. Today is day 5 of the challenge.

This will be an interesting experiment once it's time to fly away. Surviving airplane food. I have a basic idea of what I could do.

Once you get through security, purchase the following:

1. Water bottle. A BIG one. Don't drink it all at once!! I haven't writen a post about "Surviving the airplane lavatory".
2. Get some nuts or seeds for airplane munchies.
3. Most cafés sell salads, fruits and veggies. Go buy some if you're going to be on a long flight.

When you receive your plateau of plastic food, dump the cake. Give it to the kid sitting in front of you, maybe you can bribe him into being quiet for the remainder of the flight. Dump the bread and butter too, you don't need that. Pick off the meat and veggies. If you have fruit, lucky you! Eat it too. Leave the rice and potatoes alone, you don't need those either.

If you're still feeling hungry, eat some of your salad, nuts or fruits that you oh-so-wisely purchased before boarding the plane. But not all of it. Save some for later!
